A Tongue-in-Cheek History of The Marion Carnegie Library Anime-niacs Club

February 2006: The Anime-niacs Club at Marion Carnegie Library entered into its planning stage, as several area residents began to say : "We Want Anime".

-We began to get anime and manga for the library thanks to Rob.

March 2006: Area residents began sitting down with library representatives. Conversations went something like this:

Youth: "We Want Anime"

Library: "Ok"

April 2006: The first meeting of the Anime-niacs Club occurred on April 8 (Spirited Away was watched), with a second meeting on April 22 (Episode 1 & 2 of Chrono Crusade).

April 12 2008 The Anime-niacs Club, celebrated their 2 year anniversary of the club. Also, we had a going away party for our dear, dear friend and sensei, Rob Newcomb. We will miss him so much. Good luck on your journeys dear friend. Be safe and remember.."Robots are only cold on the outside." We also have a new anime director named Erika. "May the force be with you both."
